West African Basketball Court

In this project, I wanted to create a scene set in Africa along with demonstrating the usage of vertex painting and decals on some of the assets. This scene depicts a basketball court in West Africa where young athletes can go to practice their skills. In the Akan language spoken in Ghana, "Osono" means elephant hence the reason for the elephant pillar at the entrance gate and the name of the facility " Osono School of Athletics. " A mural of Hakeem Olajuwon who was the first great Nigerian born basketball player is as well displayed on the wall. The message of this piece is that it does not matter where you start in life but how much you are willing to commit to your passion in order to obtain excellence.
